ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. The first show I ever saw was the musical Oklahoma and it took me by storm. I was so amazed that I saw it three more times. After that, I became more interested in theatre and started my theatre journey as a theatre stage hand. Throughout high school, I experienced different technical positions and worked hard to expand my general understanding. I soon began to further my knowledge in lighting and became a master electrician and began working in the theatre within a semester at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas. I then transferred to West Texas A&M University to pursue a BA in Theatre with an Emphasis in Design and Technology. At WTAMU I have had the opportunity to work as a scenic carpenter, programmer and light board operator, master electrician, assistant light designer, and as a light designer. After graduating, I started my career with Royal Caribbean. First working on SkySea, as a trainee for the light board operator, then moving on to Celebrity Cruises. On Celebrity, I began to expand my knowledge on how to design a show by creating my preferences. A couple years later, I was hired at the college where it all began for me to be their technical director/designer.
